Industry meets in person – for sure!
Live and very real: exhibitors and trade visitors from the industrial automation sector are looking forward to the Motek/Bondexpo presence trade fair from 05. until 08 October 2021 in Stuttgart. The traditional and proven fair duo is in full preparation.
The 39th Motek – International Trade Fair for Production and Assembly Automation – and the 14th Bondexpo – International Trade Fair for Adhesive Bonding Technology – will take place from 05. to 08 October 2021 will be held as a presence fair. “Our exhibitors and trade visitors will be able to exchange ideas live, in person and in a very genuine way,” says Bettina Schall, Managing Director of trade fair promoter die P. E. SCHALL GmbH & Co. KG. “The industry is waiting for it!” “Indeed, I think it is very important that Motek is implemented as a presence event,” also says Jürgen Noailles, Managing Director of Stein Automation GmbH in Villingen-Schwenningen and member of the board of the VDMA Integrated Assembly Solutions department. “In the capital goods industry, it is important to offer customers trust and security. This is given via a personal exchange, for example at Motek.” Anita Renc, Chief Sales Officer of Afag Engineering GmbH, is also preparing for the trade fair with her company. “Motek is not only a traditional trade fair, but also a mirror of current technologies and developments in automation. It is important to be there and also, in terms of Europe as a business location, to get the important dialog with customers and partners going again.”
Special topic 3D printing and young companies
With special shows on new topics, the trade fair organizer focuses on new technologies and their practical implementation in modern industrial everyday production. For example, the “Arena of Integration” (AoI) at a central location in Hall 1 will use showcases to make the business processes mapped by software vividly visible and tangible. It shows how networking of software and assembly technology works and what a key role this plays in the digitalization of manufacturing and assembly. In this way, trade visitors are supported and inspired in the implementation of digitization in their own companies.
Another thematic highlight in Hall 1 will be the “Special 3D Printing Area”, where suppliers of 3D printers for industrial use, material suppliers for 3D printing and contract manufacturers for 3D printed parts and assemblies will present their solutions and services. Especially those industries that produce small series or special components benefit from the technology. This may include spare parts, fixtures, brackets and housings. Additive manufacturing products have long since arrived in everyday industrial life, but the field of new possibilities is almost endless: absolute freedom of construction, free product design, bionic structures, undercuts, overhangs, lightweight structures. Highlights will be shown at Motek – not only design engineers will be pleased!
Finally, the start-up area in Hall 1 will also be a magnet for visitors. With the special area, Motek/Bondexpo explicitly wants to give young companies presenting their innovative automation ideas a platform. The aim is to generate feasible solutions for everyday industrial use from the product ideas and new product presentations.
Hygiene concept stands
For the industry of production and assembly automation as well as joining and bonding technology, Motek together with the complementary, fully integrated Bondexpo is one of the most important trade events because, as the leading trade fair for the world of automation, it shows the appropriate product and service portfolio up to date – components, assemblies, subsystems and complete systems including robotics. “Challenges such as efficiency, sustainability, cost pressure, shortage of skilled workers and increasing product individualization have become more acute,” Bettina Schall points out. “That is why it is now so important for companies in industrial production and automation to exchange technical information and to discuss new solutions and investment projects in concrete terms. Motek/Bondexpo will provide them with the right framework for this in the familiar and proven manner – for sure!” The trade fair organizer Schall fully complies with the hygiene concept of Messe Stuttgart, which has been completely coordinated by the authorities and implemented on the basis of the generally applicable Corona Ordinance of the State of Baden-Württemberg.
