Assemblio GmbH is an innovative company based in Stuttgart which is specialised in revolutionising assembly planning. Assemblio’s mission is straightforward: using state-of-the-art technology to make the preparation of assembly instructions simpler, faster, more cost-effective and more resource-efficient by means of automation.
Assemblio will present the first SaaS solution (software as a service) for the automated preparation of assembly instructions at Motek 2024. Thanks to their software solution, Assemblio shortens a previously time-consuming process that often took days, weeks or even months to a few minutes or hours.
Say Goodbye to Manual Assembly Planning and Complex Documentation
Manual preparation of assembly instructions is currently very cost-intensive, error-prone and involves an enormous amount of time and labour.
This is where Assemblio comes in. Unlike manual assembly planning, Assemblio doesn’t use elaborately created screenshots which are transferred manually to MS Word, but instead uses AI to analyse and document 3D models of the respective assembly. The analysis results in an automatic determination of the assembly sequence, the assembly method, the assembly direction, assembly restrictions and much more. All of this can be quickly and easily customised within the Assemblio Composer using drag-and-drop, and supplemented with annotations.
The assembly instructions are prepared automatically and can be exported as a PDF file or a video. With the help of our 3D visualisation tool – the Assemblio Smart Viewer – the assembly steps can be easily viewed at any time and shared with relevant stakeholders via a link.
In this way, assembly instructions can be prepared in just a few minutes, where previously it would have taken hours, days or weeks. This saves valuable time which, for example, can be invested in new development projects or the consolidation of core competences.
One Step Ahead of the Competition
Our customers can save time and resources, increase efficiency and reduce costs by automating assembly planning with Assemblio. At the same time, the quality and accuracy of their assembly planning processes and assembly instructions are improved, the error rate is reduced, the wasting of energy and resources is minimised and productivity is increased. Assemblio is designed for outstanding user-friendliness, as well as simple and intuitive operation, making it easy to use and accessible to everyone regardless of training levels.
The technology itself was developed and tested at Fraunhofer IPA for a number of years. Assemblio is currently used in numerous sectors including the automotive industry, machinery manufacturing, automation technology and electronics production. Amongst others, our customers include the WEISS Group and Siemens, as well as research institutes such as the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Fraunhofer Society. Assemblio is especially well-suited for manufacturing companies that want to optimise assembly planning and master the complexity of their products and product variants.
Savings increase as products become more complex. Compared to previously used manual procedures for planning the assembly of products with, for example, 800 parts, Assemblio speeds up the preparation of assembly instructions by a factor of 32, i.e. what previously took 100 hours (2½ weeks) is now completed in just 3 hours with the help of Assemblio. The quality and accuracy of assembly planning processes and their documentation are increased at the same time.
Assemblio is synonymous with innovation and efficiency. You too can benefit from the advantages of our SaaS solution and say goodbye to the inefficient, time-consuming and cost-intensive manual preparation of assembly instructions.
