marc1 & marc2 gantry systems
marco’s marc1 and marc2 Gantry Systems, when combined with the StepDot, MultiHead, or other marco piezo valves like the SJet, transform into dispensing robots that can precisely follow paths on all axes.
marc1 offers a spacious workspace of 480 x 480 x 120 mm, while marc2 provides an even larger area of 619 x 940 x 126 mm.
Both gantry systems are capable of dispensing small amounts of various fluids, such as solder paste, silver epoxy, underfill, liquid silicone rubber (LSR), 2-component liquids, and more. They integrate advanced robotics with a sophisticated Dispensing Control Unit (DCU) that synchronizes both dispensing parameters and motion — an industry-unique feature.
The design is solid yet lightweight, with a tool load capacity of up to 13 kg. It enables precise high-speed dispensing with accelerations up to 3g, while maintaining consistent repeatability.
marco’s marc1 and marc2 Gantry Systems provide complete solutions for a broad range of applications. They offer large work areas while maintaining a compact footprint, making them versatile in various settings.
The three axes of both machines have five linear motors, each of which is equipped with a newly developed, patented watercooling system. This intelligent thermal control ensures temperature stability, which is crucial for maintaining high precision throughout the entire dispensing process.
The machines are designed with openings on the front, right, and left, allowing easy integration into an inline production line (SMEMA-compliant). A rear opening facilitates cluster arrangements. Additionally, these robots are fully compatible with cleanroom environments.
Both gantry systems are highly adaptable due to their modular design, making it easy to adjust to changing customer requirements for media, air, and cooling-water supply. The cells and machine beds are equipped with numerous pneumatic and electronic interfaces, enabling quick integration of additional units and tools.
