Innovative exhibit at Motek 2024
This year, FLT is presenting a special highlight: an exhibit that combines all of the company's core competences. This includes state-of-the-art linear technology in the form of an integrated gantry robot, combined with the system's digital twin.
The LGR-3-ID gantry robot is equipped with the pioneering innovation of the wireless carriage. This ground-breaking solution utilises the principle of inductive energy transmission for wear-free and maintenance-free energy supply. The energy is transmitted completely contact-free by means of electromagnetic coupling via a fixed line conductor on one or more carriages.
Inductive energy transmission offers numerous advantages: travel distances of more than 100 meters can be easily achieved and the working areas of the carriages can overlap as required. In addition, the risk of the energy chain breaking or tilting is completely eliminated and there is no increased travelling resistance due to the energy chain. The system also impresses with its high energy efficiency, which is made possible by energy recovery using a capacitor storage unit. High acceleration is also guaranteed without load peaks occurring in the network, as local energy buffering takes place.
Another special feature of the FLT trade fair exhibit is the linking of the virtual world with the real world - in real time. While one part of the exhibition cell shows live how the portal works, the other part is displayed digitally: Screens visualize in real time how a battery module disassembly is carried out. This unique combination offers FLT customers a deep insight into the advantages and possibilities of digital integration.
