Inline Dispensing Monitoring in Real-Time
The “NanoStrobeX” dropwatcher from droptical GmbH is an absolute world first.
The camera for dosing monitoring can be integrated directly into the system thanks to its high degree of miniaturization and monitors contactless dosing processes in real time.
#3D process monitoring
Each drop is optically measured in 3D in flight. This allows the NanoStrobeX to determine parameters such as drop volume, satellite drops, drop speed, flight direction and even the contact point with the surface and write these values to a database for big data analysis.
#Efficiency - effectiveness - sustainability
Thanks to real-time monitoring, deviations in the dispensing parameters are detected directly and immediate response can be made. This reduces the scrap rate, which significantly increases the efficiency and effectiveness of production and also has a positive impact on sustainability.
In addition, cyclical cleaning and calibration breaks can be dispensed with. The camera detects contamination of the nozzle as well as drift deviations in the dispensing quantity, allowing the system to react on-demand. This also saves valuable cycle time.

The control and evaluation unit of the NanoStrobeX serves as an interface between the customer's system and the camera. The intuitive control and evaluation software runs on an integrated web server. The droptical camera can therefore be operated from any device with a web browser, such as a notebook, tablet or smartphone. No additional PCs or programs are required. With the appropriate accessory adapter from droptical, the device can be integrated both mechanically and electrically into almost all common jet dispensers and put into operation in the dispensing system within a few minutes.
