8 to 11 October 2024: It’s Motek Time!”
The barriers to automation are being further reduced. This will be demonstrated at this year’s 42nd Motek international trade fair for automation in production and assembly, together with the 17th Bondexpo international trade fair for bonding technology. As a matter of tradition, the production automation industry will meet in Stuttgart to discuss future-proof, efficient automation solutions from the 8th through the 11th of October, 2024. Exhibitors meet up with the right target groups at this trade double header, and users are provided with practical answers to their questions.
Industrial suppliers and users will meet at Motek/Bondexpo from 8 to 11 October 2024 in order to improve processes and make them more economical. During the course of a practice-oriented exchange of ideas in the customary, thematically focused working atmosphere, production automation specialists will discuss how manufacturing processes can be further improved at this time-tested industry platform. Manufacturing companies are facing major challenges – the focus is on efficiency, cost-effectiveness and the conservation of resources, as well as compensating for the shortage of qualified personnel. Automation is advancing as a result, and digitalisation will continue to become an integral part of production processes.
Clear-Cut Thematic Structure with Convincing Trade Fair Concept
Future-proof, efficient automation – that’s what Motek/Bondexpo 2024 is all about. Future-proof, efficient solutions and systems help manufacturing companies implement automation technology quickly and easily. Only in this way can users benefit from automation in the long run. Manufacturing companies must continue to significantly reduce their carbon footprints and are looking for economical solutions that minimise the use of resources. The range of topics addressed by the trade fair is focused primarily on four main aspects: networked, smart production components and systems such as grippers and components with sensors, handling systems, handling solutions, intelligent screwdriving technology, smart linear technology, mechatronic systems, smart drives and feed components for parts transport. The second thematic segment consists of assembly assistance systems including systems for manual and semi-automatic workstations, assisted picking and assembly, software-supported operator guidance, automatic bin-picking, collaborative work with cobots, robotics and automated parts feeding and discharge. A third thematic focal point covers solutions for easy implementation and commissioning including planning software, simulation software, solutions for digital twins, easy-to-install plug-and-play solutions and starter kits for manufacturing companies. The fourth topic involves object recognition and image processing equipment such as sensors, cameras and identification systems for inline parts detection targeted at position monitoring and position control, as well as visualisation solutions including software and AI support.
Based on tradition and extensive experience, the Motek/Bondexpo trade fair concept is distinguished by thematic clarity and reliability. This was made apparent once again at Motek/Bondexpo 2023: a full house, an outstanding trade fair atmosphere and large numbers of highly interested expert visitors – that was the overall conclusion. Exhibitors from 22 countries transformed the international trade fair for automation in production and assembly into an inspiring industry event, because they meet up with the right target groups, and users are provided with practical answers to their questions. “Traditionally, Motek is our most important trade fair,” confirmed Ulrich Moser, head of marketing and sales controlling at IEF Werner in Furtwangen, Germany. “Most expert visitors come with specific concerns, and we develop solutions for them directly at their own facilities after the trade fair. This is very effective.” For Igus in Cologne, Germany, the trade fair highlight is also on the agenda again in the fall of 2024: “Motek is extremely important for us. This is where engineers and designers find the solutions they’re looking for,” emphasises Alexander Mühlens, head of Low-Cost Automation at Igus. The company shows how easy it can be to get started with robotics and automation. Utz Ratio Technik is also one of Motek/Bondexpo’s traditional exhibitors. “We’ve had more than forty successful years at the trade fair – we meet our customers here, as well as our suppliers”, confirmed managing director Thilo Utz.
Easy-to-Implement, Future-proof Automation
In 2023, Motek/Bondexpo set impressive performance benchmarks for industrial production, reduced automation barriers and aroused interest for the event in 2024. “Preparations are now running at full bore for the traditional Motek/Bondexpo this fall,” says Rainer Bachert, long-standing project manager for Motek/Bondexpo at trade fair promoters P. E. Schall. “Practical solutions for systemic, sustainable production will be at the centre of attention,” explains Bachert. “Anyone from the manufacturing industries looking to automate a process or function, regardless of the sector, will find the right components and solutions at Motek/Bondexpo. The exhibitors are suppliers and manufacturers of components, products, modules and complete systems for economical and sustainable automation in production and assembly. They provide manufacturing companies with all the solutions they need to meet the challenges posed by industrial operations.”
The key topics have been identified, registrations and booth locations are now being finalised and the supplementary programme is taking shape. Expert visitors will once again benefit from a time-efficient, clearly structured trade fair visit this autumn, including an extensive supplementary programme. “The manufacturing industries need advanced solutions in order to work even more economically and efficiently,” says Bachert. “All suppliers who are capable of providing solutions for future-proof, efficient automation are part of Motek/Bondexpo 2024,” says the project manager. “The autumn event will provide new impetus in terms of economy, efficiency and flexibility.”
